How do I install the unofficial patch?
Can someone walk me through it step by step?

and when I load up the modules the DLC and the unofficial patch need to be in a certain order or something right?

use a program called LOOT to sort load order
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1918/?
Ok so do I just download USSEP and run it, it will automatically apply itself to the Skyrim files in Steam?

use nexus mod manager and enable it from there. it'll automatically work

There's two ways to install mods; first is by using a mod manager like NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) or MO2 (Mod Organizer 2) and that way installing mods is most of the time is just one click as well as uninstalling them. The other method is installing them manually which is the most complicated way if you use more than one mod. It becomes impossible to manage all the mods manually, because mods are basically files (textures, sounds, scripts, meshes...etc) and there will be like thousands of these seperate files. So you're better off using a mod manager.

When it comes to using mod managers, NMM is the easier by far. It's the better option for beginners and people who don't use many profiles (like youtubers who make mod reviews.) So, download NMM and then download USSEP and activate it using NMM.

Thanks so much guys, one more question.

Is Skyrim Special Edition's unofficial patch (USSEP) as complete and stable as regular Skyrim's unofficial patch?

yeah, never got any crashes personally while using it. it's well made mod on top of an improved 64-bit engine
Nice, I think I have it installed. How can I tell in game if the patch has been installed correctly?

in the main menu click on "add ons" it'll show you all the dlc's and mods that are loaded
Is there anything I can check in game to make certain? Something that is immediately verifiable that is changed by the patch?

according to the mod page, certain flags should have their hold symbols rather than being blank, the archmage robes will no longer have texture issues while wearing certain gloves and boots, forge water textures will be better quality, etc.
The unofficial patch does not show in the in game "Add Ons" list, but it shows it's installed in the Nexus Mod Manager

did you activate it? click the green checkmark while having it highlighted
Yep, it shows as active in NMM. Is it supposed to show up in the in game Add Ons list?

maybe try "mods" instead of add ons

If you install the patch thru the ingame mod menu then the unoffical patch needs to be above everything else (first) in the load order.
