Assist the people of Falkreath?

I'm trying to become Thane but I'm not sure who to help because there are no quest markers. I told Lod about Barbas the doggo, but even though he seemed satisfied it didn't seem to count. Dengeir told me his life story about how Siddgeir got the throne, but gave me no quests. Who am I supposed to talk to here?

• Dengeir's brother
  
• The priest of Arkay
  
• The vampire who runs the mill by the lake.

Dengeir should give you something to do, but frankly the other candidates are easier to deal with.

You just have to go and chat to everyone for these kind of quests, the innkeeper is usually a good first point of contact in most towns too.

There's also a farmer there you can sell stuff to.

Can also invest in the stores there, this works for other cities and towns as the Investor perk usage counts to helping people.

Sonny, this early in the game when he's trying to become thane of Falkreath, he's not going to have the investor perk.

Maybe talk to people, do some quests. Seriously, you should be smart enough to figure things out without a quest marker pointing everything out.
