**EDIT** doing research while re creating a game from scratch. Once i see gold in my inventory I will add all my mods.
My main reason for this issue is that I had over 700 gold in my inventory...it said so in the lower right corner. An item costs 400 but the merchant says "You dont have enough gold"; so I sold more items and while my gold rose gold wasnt in my inventory.
I will see this thru LOL. Gonna go all Vanilla. And then if need be I'll load up Skyrim (not SE) and hopefully show it there haha
You can also add or remove gold from your inventory using a very safe console command, you shouldnt need mods to do that.
type
player.additem 0000000f whatever amount you want here
press enter
close console
Either way, something was amiss. Item was 400 gold; I had 700 and it said "you dont have enough"
resetinventory
Make sure you have 00000014 (player ref ID) selected. Also, be sure to empty all valuables before doing so. That, or save first, then try it, and if it works, commit to it by reloading, then emptying your valuables (including quest items) before use.
Use "showinventory" console command to bring up the IDs of your quest items when they're the only things left, then force drop them using the force drop code. (player.drop <item id> <#>) # = how many. Say you have 13 Stones of Barenziah or "Unusual Gems." Your code should look like, "player.drop 9dfbb 13" without the quotations. Good luck, and I hope it works!
So it turns out my gold wasnt bugged afterall. You see I visited a merchant (mod) and when I was viewing an item it said 400 Value; however when I clicked the item in question on the right hand side when you're viewing it it said Value of 1300
So basically I was duped. 400 wasnt the right price, it was 1300 haha. My gold wasnt bugged. I had 700 and i apparently couldnt afford it.
Oh well. But again perhaps I'll need this in the future (or someone)
Thank you all very much :)
