Jorleif or Wuunferth? [Blood on the Ice Spoiler]
(Not that a spoiler should really matter on the forums of a 6-year-old game, but regardless...)

It happened. I walked into Windhelm to fetch some calipers when my age-old enemy, the buggiest quest in all of Skyrim, reared it's ugly head again.

There are, of course, two solutions to the quest. One could, as soon as they have any evidence, go to Jorleif and have the evil, lying Wuunferth locked up for three days before finding out that, despite lying, he's not evil, and someone else was the killer. Alternatively one could go straight to Wuunferth, skip a murder, and stop the real killer sooner.

All problems with the quest's writing aside, it begs the question: which route is the best to roleplay? Which do you choose more often?

I have trouble finding justification to speak to Wuunferth first, but Jorleif is ridiculously hasty to agree with your all of two pieces of circumstantial evidence. I'm never sure which route to pick.
Not sure I'd like to have more dead bodies, though.

Apologies for the long-winded question.

I go after the real killer, just to get it over with.
I always do it the shortest, most efficient way. Also, as early in the playthrough as possible. I didnt have the Unofficial Patch for a long time, and had thought if you got Wuunfurth in prison, you were done. I never recieved any further communication on the matter.

But after installing the patch, and learning the true ending, I just go for that now.
