Great jarl meeting?
So apparently every single jarl of every hold in skyrim har a little get-together evey now and then. I found them all sitting by the long table in windhelm having a feast. In my more than 300 hours playing this game i've never seen this before. Has it ever happened to anyone else?

For reference the date is Loredas,19th or Rains Hand, 4E 202. Civil war is completed, empire won.

Never seen anything like that either, but I only finished the civil war 5 or so times, and most of it was just to see how it influenced the main story and other tidbits before it all became obvious in the wiki. Way, way back in nov and dec 2011!

Do they get tipsy? Bring their wives/girlfriends (and hubbies of course)? Come to think of it, why don't we ever SEE their wives/hubbies? :)

You do a lot, actually. The Jarl of Morthal is married to her steward, and I believe the Jarl of Riften has a husband somewhere. Balgruuf's wife is implied to not be around anymore, and Elesif for obvious reasons is single right now...

I remember seeing the Morthal Jarl sleeping with her steward and thought.. "oooer! Naughty!" Didn't realise they were actually married.
I bet the Jarl of Markarth (Igmund) is a bachelor. He'd depress anyone. I wouldn't throw the Jarl of Falkreath out of bed though, unless he wore that prickly Falkreath Crown.

They must be the Jarls and their stewards who support Ulfric. They were exiled and took refuge at Windhelm. It always happens when the empire won.

That would explain it yeah. But the new jarl of windhelm that supports the empire was also there?

Welcome to Bethesda and how they code. Same thing happens if you side with the Stormcloaks; all of the Imperial Jarls are still alive and hanging out in... Castle Dour I believe.

None of them bring their significant others to the Thalmor party during "Diplomatic Immunity". Mind you, who'd actually WANT to go? The company isn't exactly riveting, although the hostess - Elenwen - was bugged during that party (in my game) and was trying to moonwalk across the floor like Michael Jackson.

Yes.

I see you're trying to imply something. But Brunwulf isn't a dick. If you've noticed, he also lent his house to Korir since he has a small child who got exiled alongside him. A small talk with him before and after he's appointed as a Jarl during your playthrough won't hurt. Or just read the wiki. It'll help you understand his character.

Otherwise, the game just designed that way. The losing Jarls of each side will took refuge either at Palace of The Kings or Blue Palace.
