Complete Freeze when approaching Irkngthand

Hello !


I'm doing the Thieve's Guild questline and I'm at the point where I must go to Irkngthand. So I went there, discovered the location, killed the bandits at the entrance but then realized my inventory was pretty full, so I quicktravelled to Lakeview Manor to dispose of some stuff, but since then when I try to quicktravel back to Irkngthand, or when I approach the location on foot, my game freezes. It doesn't crash to desktop, I can still hear the sound of the game, but I can't do anything else, the image is completly stuck.

So far I believe the rest of the game is unaffected, although I didn't try a lot of different location. Only approaching Irkngthand triggers the crash.


My game is modded and here's the mod list[i.imgur.com], although I don't believe any mod interfere with this location in particular.


So, I need some help... I've put 30+ hours into this saves, I'd be really upset to have to give it up... Is there a way to resolve this ? Maybe a console command to reset the area ?

Try fast travelling to a nearby ruin, and traversing the last bit on foot.
See if that works.

I did already try that, I can quicktravel to the nearby giant camp, but then when I get too close to the dungeon, it freezes just like when quicktravelling directly there !

I am also experiencing this same freeze up. I have no mods or and only the default addons.

Even trying to walk up the Dwemer ruins freezes the game client.

Just FYI, I ended up loading an older save file and re-doing what I had done already (hapily for me I only lost an hour or two of gameplay). I did not find a proper fix for the bug.

You could use this console command...

coc Irkngthand01

Does using a Console command mark your save as cheating or anything? I would really rather find a fix.
