Lydia a waste of space & Immersive Citizens mod?

Can someone please sum up the benefits of Immersive Citizens? I've had it installed for a long time and have honestly not noticed a difference.

Also, can anyone recommend a good mod for Lydia? All she does is say the same old "good to see you, my Thane" and offers to explain what a housecarl does and what being a Thane means lol!

There's a text on the mod page that says "The complete desceiption is available here." with a link to the changes. There's also two videos by Brodual describing the changes available on the mod page.

Try out relationship dialogue overhaul for Lydia.

If you're going to ask questions like this, expect short, to the point answers. Kate just gave you a very helpful answer. The mod page has a brief description with a very obvious link to a much more detailed one that addresses your question. Kate is not to blame for your lack of attention when reading.

Obviously things aren't that "clear" for you if you feel the need to ask for information clearly stated on the mod description page. But I know - I know. Reading and understanding is a lost art not known by many ...

Clearly, if I had found the answer by reading the mod page I wouldn't have posted here. How about instead of attacking me you actually provide an answer? Just because it's clear to you doesn't mean it's clear to everyone else. Or, you know, we can just give short not helpful answers and waste people's time. Necromia helped redirect me to a more detailed answer instead of "reread the mod page scrub"

What exactly was not helpful in telling you to reread the text that directs you to the answer? Necromia's answer was pretty much to the same effect as Kate's.

You want someone to go to the mods page - the mod you've already chosen to install - and read it, then sum it up. For free.

When it *is* made completely clear what the mod does.

"Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul is a mod whose purpose is to increase player in-game immersion by greatly improving Artificial Intelligence (AI) of friendly NPCs (citizens) in order to make them act and react like true humans in relation to their environment or to an aggressor."

I mean, its the very first sentence of the description.

There's even a link - in the mod description, right there at the end of the first paragraph- that leads to a whole website detailing the AI changes made.

But you couldn't be arsed to read any of that. You wanted one of us to do it for you. For free.

Lydia's entire point is to be your hourcarl. She will barely every leave your house because her job is to guard you and all you own. When you don't have her as a follower she'll stay at the house you assigne her to stay at (because she can be made into your stewart). ALL Housecarls are like that and Immersive AI does not change their function. Immersive AI does not change their dialog either.
