Follower AI improvement mods?

I hope im able to elaborate simply enough with this matter, i know for sure that i had a set of mods for this before SE but its difficult to remember which these mods were..

First of all, im tired of seeing followers auto-equip weapons just because i do and i know for sure that my old skyrim saves didnt get this bs, instead equipped their weapons if an enemy was nearby and didnt auto-engage enemies either.

if someone of you know of these mods and if some works even though havent been ported, please let me know.

ps. ive already got AFT.

also hope theres someone working on the mod that allowed to dismiss your housecarls so that you can choose whatever follower you like to become your housecarl???

The AFT is the best (and ONLY available right now) Followers mod.
Use that. And make sure its on the BOTTOM of your order list. (All your custom followers you ported, ABOVE that).

any custom AI followers like Vilja, Inigo, etc need to load After AFT or they won't work right.

unfortunatly, until SKSE64 comes out, we won't have access to all the bells & whistles of AFT or mods like it. That includes turning off the "draw with player"

havent ported anything, took a very long break from skyrim and picked up a fresh start with SE
just cant remember the mods that i used to follow

Not really. I'm using Sofia, Recorder and few more and I'm having them before ATM - and I have the "Tweaks" of ATM for these followers too.

personally i dont like sofia, sounds way too whiney, recorder doesnt feels too far from being lore friendly, actually all followers feels whiney.. i havent given it much thought of it before but theyre always commenting in a negative way about something, wish there were more of the opposite.

sure, its struck with a lot of darkness and war but i dont see how everyone turned into a bunch of crybabies.

all though the most crucial part of why i cant get myself to install these custom followers again is how i remembered them to be so fake, their dialogues doesnt feel genuine or they just dont fit the skyrim universe other than their looks
