Try to delete SMIM from NMM, then re-DL it. Best to NOT touch anything while its DLing, don't even move from the DL screen, until its done. Very large files are very fickle and from past experience, even going out of the screen to browse the net while you wait can cause the file to not DL properly (very large files like over 300mb?). Once its done DLing, you can try to reinstall it into your game. It should work fine if everything goes well.
Installing mods isn't this hard of the original Skyrim.
"Don't use Mods managers to install K ENB Pure Light, it can't work since NMM installs files in Skyrim's Data folder, not in main folder." - It actually says this right under the installation section.
Also, the current K ENB Pure Light seems to be made using the ENB 0.310 binary, so you must have that first - says it right here also on mod page -" Please download the ENB 0.310 binary first. Then download and install ReShade 3.0.5" If you don't have that installed... K ENB won't work, nor any ENB if you don't have the correct ENB version its based off from.
Edit: sorry, was on Oldrim Nexus instead of SE when posting reply, fixed for SE K ENB link and such.
Can Skyrim SE just not run those yet?
PS: Irrelevant, but whenever I personally see Skyrim SE I think of Skyrim Script Extender. But I'm talking about Skyrim Special Edition.
