I'm not generally a "cheater" unless I just wanna have fun. I keep hitting the damn ~ button though by accident when trying to hit esc...does *just* bringing up the console command but not typing any cheats disable achieves for that savegame?

Get achievements mods enabler from nexus, that way even opening the console won't keep you from getting achievements. Also get the Unofficial patch, helps smooth things out.

The console has no effect on achievements in skyrim or the special edition.

They did in the Original Skyrim, missed a few because of it.

I have the enabler from nexus...think it's working...not sure, I don't get the mods warning popup but dont know how to chck the bethsda achievs...I thought the console command would stop steam achievs

Yes it does, IF you use mods or console commands in the SE you will not get any acheivements on that character.

Console Commands do not effect the original Skyrim, if you used a CC to get an item that would have gotten you an achivement then it won't work, but using them alone does nothing.

i used ` f 100000 to get an achivement. So it doesnt matter if you use console

no it will not disable achevments only one comand code like tmm 1 will not give explore achevment and outher for dragon souls and one for unlock chet cods but just clicking ~` and removing it to play no

Achievements mean nothing to me. Rip that game open, crack it like an egg. Mod the ♥♥♥♥ out of it, have fun it's YOUR game, not big Brother's...

I dont give a rip about the chieves i don't see...it's the ones sitting in front of me everytime I open a game or steam....

When I used that one command to complete all main storyline quests I got the achievements for all of them.. so at least in original skyrim the console didn't disable achievements.

Had to check my achievements to be sure, but I did get all of the Dawnguard achievements despite having to use the console every time I wanted to get into Castle Volkihar since I explored the area before starting the questline, and so the stupid gatekeeper wouldn't let me through. Oh well, that's kinda what the console is there for.
