Skywind + Skyblivion together would be awesome
I mean really, you'll have three of the most loved RPG games together in one giant package. I can't wait for them to be released. I'd play Skywind first, then skyblivion, then skyrim with one character. The thought of having one character throughout the three sounds insane to me. What do you guys think?

It sounds pretty irrelevant. One character, three - its all the same. Just play Oblivion and then when you get to Skyrim, use the console to level up your character.

None of the games would *acknowledge* you as the same character. It would have no affect on anything except starting more powerful with the next game.

I think they should all work together to just make Skywind, so its finished sometime before ES6.....Skyblivion seems like biting off more than can be chewed.......if both teams worked together on skywind, it could be great.....I've never played morrowind, but really want to see the game recreated in skyrim's engine.....most longtime ES fans say Morrowind was the best game in the series,...I sure hope it gets finished, and that it is stable and playable...

They most likely won't be available for the SE anyway. They started those projects years ago on Oldrim, and they would probably need to do a lot of work in order to port it over to this version. If it's taken this long to get them completed, I doubt it would make it's way over.

Only elves live that long. So you are limiting your character to Altmer, Dunmer or Bosmer (or possibly Orc, but not sure how long they actually live for).

Considering that Oblivion takes place a few years after Morrowind, and considering the ending of the shivering Isles expansion, it could be a safe assumption that you character lives long enough.
And that you meet yourself in the Blue palace, but who cares; Cheese for everyone!

The stories in the 3 games happen in 3 different times/eras, so playing the 3 main story lines in the same game would be weird for those who want to play according to the lore.
I don't think porting the mods to SE would be that hard once they are complete.

I think it's safe to assume Skywind and Skyblivion will be total conversions and that it won't be possible to play through all three with the same char.

I honestly don't see what all the hype about skywind and skyblivion is all about, if i want to play Morrowind I'll just play Morrowind, it'll be better, it won't have all the dumbing down of skyrim, it looks bad? Graphical enhancing mods exist for that reason.
Same with Oblivion, I want to play it, I'll go play it, none of the dumbing down of skyrim in the actual game like there will be with Skyblivion.

Not to extent that can be achieved by rebuilding it in the Skyrim engine.

The dumbing down? Sure. On the other hand, the most oft-requested mods I saw for Morrowind back in the day was duel wielding and horseback riding... Guess what comes for free with Skyrim?

No, not to that extent, but they can be brought to 'bearable levels'.
So I guess it's more a matter off, horseback riding and duel wielding vs more in depth mechanics.

What I'm most interested in though, is how they do the dialogue system, considering Morrowinds is nothing like later titles.

It sure would be nice if they could make it all one game, but I doubt the game could ever handle that.

Your save file size already gets massively large over the course of a long playthrough of just Skyrim alone. Imagine how large it would be with three games combined into one.

Daggerfall - 3E 405
Morrowind - 3E 427
Oblivion - 3E 433
Skyrim - 4E 201

Most non-elf races would be dead before skyrim.

Which means no matter what race you are, you'd still be alive by skyrim, you just wouldn't be that race anymore.

Yes, that was my point.

Morrowind and Oblivion could be done by the same character, apart from a conversation in fighters guild, but well within human livespan. Skyrim however is over two hundred years later (Fourth Era began in Oblivion game).
