I've seen a lot of movies in my lifetime ...
"Eragon" has a similar feel that to me comes remotely close.

The feel of the game depends a lot on how you play this game, I could make arguements for everything from Bladerunner to Starwars to Blade trilogy to Gladiator. Heck if you go for a long hunting trip, you could even compare it to The Grey (the survivalist one with wolves and the guy who played Qui'Jon Gin in Starwars TPM).

Why LOTR doesn't count? I haven't seen it yet. Is it too close to Skyrim or too far away from it?

You'll be going on a journey when you do!

Hints:

- Select a time when you can watch the each of the movies w/o interruption with a planned break during each.
- Watch the extended edition instead of the theatrical ones if possible.
- Like the books the movies start off a bit slow, just go with it.
- A Box of tissues may be a good thing to have with you.
- There are things in the movies that have far more impact if you have read the books.
- I took my daughter to see the movies for the first time (extended) in special theatre screenings last yet. She had not seen them before. By the end she was inconsolable, yet loved them.

What about Ironclad? It's about a civil war and stars Vladimir Kulich. Though in this movie, he's a mercenary working for the King of England. It's historical fiction though, not fantasy. Funnily enough, I first saw this movie on TV a few days after an episode of MacGyver guest starring Vladimir Kulich.

Yes, I know Kulich was also in some of the above mentioned titles, like 13th Warrior and Vikings.

Most of the movies the other suggested, they DON'T have the "feeling" of Skyrim.
Skyrim is a "Fantasy-Medieval-like" world. All the rest they suggested, are SUPERB movies with SOME elements of Skyrim, but not like Skyrim... Generally, there are NO movies "like-Skyrim", meaning RPG-MEDIEVAL-FANTASY movies.

I'm a movie freak, I own (purchased) over... 2.500 movies (now most of them, re-purchased in BluRay edition!). So, to me, something "close" to Skyrim, are the following movies. NOT EXACTLY top movies some of them, but I'm putting them because you asked "Skyrim-feeling" movies (as close as can be):

1. Excalibur (1981) - probably the MOST CLOSE to the myth movie, about King-Arthur
2. 13th Warrior (1999) - not so "fantasy" movie, but close to the "Skyrim-feeling"
3. Eragon (2006)
4. Dragonslayer (1981) - very close to "Skyrim-feeling"
5. The last Legion (2007) - a REALISTIC THEORY of King-Arthur's myth
6. Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King (2004)
7. Maleficent (2014)
8. Beowulf (2007)
9. Black Death (2010)
10. Arn - the Knight Templar (2007) - not so "fantasy", but superb
11. A Knight's Tail (2001)
12. Kingdom of Heaven (2005) - again, not so "fantasy", based on true historic events
13. The 7th Seal (1957) - if you like GOOD cinema AND fantasy, this must be watched
14. Ladyhawke (1985)
15. Season of the Witch (2010)
16. Warcraft (2016)
17. Pathfinder (2007) - quite good
18. Northmen: A Viking Saga (2014)
19. Conan Remastered Edition (1982)
20. Centurion (2010) - superb realistic movie, about Scots' ancestors (Picts) and Romans

Not rpg, but fantasy/historical/swords etc.

The Polish Witcher tv series is on youtube. Low budget but watchable. Has subtitles.
The actor who plays Geralt is in 1612, also on youtube with subtitles. Poles versus Russians.
The Last Valley also on youtube in English. Michael Caine in the thirty years war. The Seven Samurai set in German Alps.
Alexander Nevsky on youtube. Download it. English subtitles avaiable on a few web sites. Russians versus Teutonic Knights.
The other version of Beowulf, Beowulf and Grendel
The Swedish version of Arn is in 2 parts. About an hour longer.
There are some vids on youtube which show real sword and shield fighting. A lot different from how movies and tv show it.
Crossbow - a long tv series about Willem Tell in English on youtube.

If you are into decent Japanese films, the Lone Wolf and Cub series is almost classic rpg.

There is a new Russian film called Viking about the Icelandic sagas. Theme park and TV series too.

Iron Lord - Russian - available in English - 1000AD
Wolfhound (on youtube)

There is only one Skyrim-like movie and it's "Beowulf 2k7". All others are pretenders that needs to be beheaded, tossed in a ditch and set on fire.

I wasn't asking for your damned opinion.
I was giving mine to the OP.
Now mind your own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ business you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jackass.
Wow chill man. No need to get triggered over something so relatively small as an opinion. And yes everyone is allowed an opinion.

I was assuming the op wanted to watch the movies that were similar. And if one was terrible. Pretty sure he would be dissapointed.
