Ever watch the Conan movies?

I would go with the two and only seasons of the cancelled show (I know not a movie) of Legende of the Seeker. Might be close enough to what you are looking for? No dragons but it's got the same feel as skyrim.

Not the best movies regarding the quality of special effects and acting, but still a little bit entertaining:
Dungeons & Dragons (2000)
Dungeons & Dragons 2: Wrath of the Dragon God (2005) (I think it has also been published as "Dungeons & Dragons: Elemental Might")
There is also a third movie called "Book of Vile Darkness" but I have not seen it.

The second one is actually quite faithful to the roleplaying game, taking place in a familiar world with familiar magic items and monsters, but failing a lot in terms of special fx.

I'm pretty sure ppl didn't like Book of Vile Darkness but it was actually my favorite one. Weird I know.

I +1 these though.

I still think the closest you'll get to that Skyrim feel is Legend of the Seeker. It's got quests and followers and well a bunch of that sword and sorcery stuff.

Why LOTR doesn't count? I haven't seen it yet. Is it too close to Skyrim or too far away from it?

Not a movie, but Game of Thrones comes to mind. It's even got dragons in it and those skeletons you kill in the game have blue eyes like the White Walkers in the series.

His OP said GoT doesn't count. Even though Skyrim was meant to be a Game of Thrones game anyway.
