Who do you marry?
It can be anyone, even from a mod. just curious who other players choose to marry, if anyone.

Is there anyone in the game you just feel a sort of connection with? I know that sounds lame, but when it comes to mods especially there's some fantastically voiced followers with really interesting personailities, not to mention just the average vanilla followers that have been with you since 11/11/11 and you can't live without them.

If your choice is from a mod throw out the link so others can see them and maybe try them out in their game.

Mine is Zora Fair-Child from the 'Interesting NPCs' mod.

I remember coming across her for the first time and thinking her voice was cute and interesting, but I never like followers. I kept running into her in Riverwood from then on and she often had special dialogue regarding quests I was currently doing and I developed an odd connection to the point where I so far as to really flesh out a marriage proposal. I went to the tip top of the High Hrothgar mountain near Parthurnaax and while mining the Ebony ore vein at the top I happened to chip out a Diamond with the ebony. I then proceeded to find the only two Gold ore veins near Riverwood and fashioned a ring out of the gold and the diamond and named it the Diamond of Skyrim (a reference to Zora's backstory) and proposed on the land in Falkreath you can build Lakeview Manor. Then I built her a house.

Since then I haven't been able to find ANY other character as interesting ,let alone interesting enough to marry. On my recent Special Edition playthrough I was going full on Vanilla, but I couldn't bring myself to be interested in anyone like I was with Zora so I installed the Alpha for 'Interesting NPCs' for SSE.

NOTE: The SSE version is currently in Alpha. It works absolutely fine for me and most everyone else but just figured I would warn anyone interested in checking it out.

Hmm, Ive used Interesting NPCs for years, and have it on both versions, but never heard of Zora Fair-Child.

I normally will have Mjoll or Senna as a spouse. Illia is a good one too. I am currently trying out Sofia, but she wears thin after a while.

Two things:

1. Do you use a mod to allow marriage with Serena? I thought about marrying her. She was the closest I got to being interested in another character, but since she was unmarriable I let it go... Not to mention I failed the dialogue check to allow her to change back into a human.

2. You know there's a perk you get from a Black Book in the Dragonborn DLC that makes it so you'll never harm any companions no matter how you attack them. Just a heads up...

No kidding. I had several people recommend I try her when I mentioned I was looking for a follower mod, but she started out mildly annoying and went to grating real quick. Reminds me of someone I know (and don't care for).

Vilja has been my goto wife since Oblivion, all my housecarls become stewards or just sit in my various houses protecting them.

See you marry then send her home so shes out of the way making gold for you and you have to be annoyed by her less often then if she were your travelling companion

I like J'zhargo, and i like Neloth, and i also like Miraak, and Urag and Feralda and Serana. I like Isran and Falion too.
All the interesting people i can't marry. I go cry in corner now :'c
Like Bethesda might give us lot of beautiful people that i can marry (like Lydia, Brelyna, Onmund and Marcurio) but I WANT THAT ONE *point at weird characters that are unmarriagable*

Yea, I wish you could marry literally anyone in the game (anyone that was single that is... I don't expect them to initiate a complex system of dialogue and quests to get random NPCs to leave their spouse for you...). It's frustrating and slightly immersion breaking when you can't progress to that level with some NPCs.

I married Ria but if it was possible I would have married Serana for sure ;)

Sofia from the Sofia follower mod. She's cool.
Vladimir Vega 4 ENE 2017 a las 17:25
Sofia rides a horse and doesnt count as a follower so you can still have stenvar or whoever and her.........

Finally people who don't just marry Lydia!

As for me, my character is a Ranger of the wild. So he doesn't marry. Maybe when he's done all he can in Skyrim he'll settle down, but for now he's a free spirit that won't be bogged down by family.

I hear you man, on both points. When I started this SSE playthrough, initially thinking I would just do a solid vanilla playthrough, I considered Lydia because for some reason everyone loved her... One word: BOOOOOORING. To each his own I suppose though...

As for the waiting until the end of the game to get married I felt the EXACT same. It was kind of one of those "I'll do it when my character feels like it's time to hang up the 'ol dragonbone armor", but then I met Zora... And everything changed... Not to say it's a pointless endevor to wait until the end of the game to get married, just felt like sharing since I was playing the same way as you back then.
