Blindsighted Gate Glitch

I'm doing the Blindsighted Quest and I am in the underground room with a few Falmer and a spike gate. There are 2 levers, one on each side. Yoiu are supposed to activate both to open the gate. However, when I activate one the gears start turning on that side of the gate (like they should) but when I activate the other lever the gears from the first lever stop and the second start turning. Because of this I can not get past the gate to continue the quest. I deactivated all my mods and that did not help. Can someone offer me and ideas on what to do?

You have to have them both activated at once. The gears only turn for a set amount of time, so you have to be fast.

Thanks for the tip. I was sneaking so maybe that was the problem. I am unsure because I got impatient and I decided to use the "tcl" toggle collision off console command to ge through the gates then used the same command to turn it back on again when I was clear of the gate. I ended up finishing the quest with no further issues. Thanks for the feedback and happy hunting!
