Eltrys dead bug
So I I'm doing a rescue mission to rescue Eltrys in a cave but when I go, he's already dead because I already finished the forsworn quest. Is there a way to fix this?

I tried doing to resurrect thing but he won't resurrect.

FIO: USSEP ought to fix that.

Meanwhile, try using the console (~) setstage CR08 50

Yep, so now you know why "most" people use the USSEP (I don't). Have a great game. :-)

Hey btw, how did you find the code to end the quest? I'm stuck at another mission and I don't know where to find the code.

Edit: I have a side and a half of A4 paper with all the problems I've previously encountered scrawled apon it along with thier resolutions. It's a mess but still somewhat organised - lol.

I made an in-game book in the Creation Kit called Important Information that has all sorts of bug-fixes via the console. Rather than keep track of reams of paper in my gaming room, I just go into my inventory and do the deed while reading from the book.

It doesn't have everything, though, just the major stuff I regularly deal with, like the Brawl Bug to get Uthgerd as a follower, or the one where Serana won't bleed into the bowl, or the one where you randomly end up with Draugr Eyes. It's got other handy info as well, like which Shouts are found where, and codes for adding NPCs as Followers, like Salma from Ironbind Barrow.

Whenever I find a "new" bug, I add it to the book. I also put info pertaining to some of the mods I use, like UFO for the Horses mostly since I'd never used it for that, because my Improved Housecarls and Hirelings mod only works when it's loaded before (under) UFO, but UFO's Horses stuff doesn't work with the addition I made to give all my Followers owned horses.

I guess I'm going to have to break down and manually combine my mod with UFO.

heh - I kinda tried that with a diary mod in Oldrim. Only prob was I had to be in-game to read it in order to help others. Hmm.. still a great idea, though, Dr.. I might actually revisit the idea. :-)

Edit: I hope you made your book a quest item - lol.

No, not a Quest item. No sense in running a buggy Quest to get a book that can un-bug Quests lol
