Game crashes when trying to forge dragon armor

Every time i go to a forge and try to select the "Dragon" category the game just quickly shuts down. It doesnt even freeze, just shuts down instantly. I do use mods but very few armor/weapon ones, and none that specifially target dragon armor. DO you guys know any fixes?

You have to know the issue first. Try to use the commands to get one. If you could, then the problem is related to smithing, if could not, then it's related either to the textures or the meshes of the item. And react accordingly.

Or if its a error in the esp, use SSEEdit, load up ALL your mods in that and search for the Constructible Items tab, and then look for Dragon Armor. You should see if any and which mods are changing the dragon armor forging. If not, then I'd suspect it was a mesh added by a mod.

OK, the same kind of crash happens now when jarl balgruuf starts to talk to his advisor about the dragon, i also added a full set of dragon armor and weapons with the console, so im starting to think its something else, probably something to do with mods.

You ought to take Barney's advise. If something is in conflict it'll be in red text. SSEEdit 's a very good tool for visualising problems.

It's superb tool... but for VERY advanced users. You may need to read CAREFULLY many tutorials BEFORE try anything with it.

I have the same problem.
I already downloaded SSEEdit and went to the perks, to see if that might be the problem and found that the 'Dragon' smithing perk was not there.
Is that maybe because of a mod?
