Can we transfer characters?
Hey guys, a question for you, is it possible to transfer your characters from the original Skrim to the new SE version and be able to play them, or is that not possible?

swear people dont read forum threads -.- if your using a modded skyrim then your chances are next to zero, no mods then its hard but "possible"

It depends on whether the save you want to transfer used mods. You would have to use the exact same mods that you used for Oldrim, and not all of Oldrim's mods have been ported yet.

Good points, i suppose then it may not be possible, thanks for your replies, might as well start a new character.

Not true at all. As long as the save wasn't in a mod-added area, and/or had a ton of script heavy mods, it should be perfectly fine. Any weapons/armor/items not present just get removed from inventory.

Even old xbox 360 saves transfered to PC work perfectly. It's a simple matter of copy and paste.

I took all my character saves and just copied them to the save folder for SE and had no issues getting my characters from original Skyrim into SE, its like nothing changed, i still have all stats, equipment, shouts, even markers and quest completed ect,. this is Awesome! :steamhappy:

Woah you can really transfer the 360's data over???
That sounds pretty cool, i didn't think they would be compatable..

This guide is for Oblivion, but it works the same for Skyrim, Fallout 3, and New Vegas.
