Skyrim SE with 144 HZ Monitor SOLVED.
If like me !
You were disgruntled with the fact that the new skyrim is set at 60 FPS, and you have a 144 HZ monitor with a powerful setup.
Then follow these simple steps to get a stable 110 FPS.

1. Download Nvidia Inspector.
2. Add the following command line to your skyrim prefs ini under DISPLAY
blockframerate=0

This will unlock the frame rate to 144 FPS or whatever your monitor is.
Of course at this speed, you will get glitchy water, so you will need to cap the framerate, I have found that 110 FPS is 100 percent stable.

3. Now read this link

http://www.overclock.net/t/1368777/how-to-create-custom-fps-limits-in-inspector

with the simple instructions above, you will get your skyrim running at 100 FPS no problem.
I tweaked it to run at 110 FPS. Just use the calculator to get the code. Or leave it at 100 FPS.

Look for the Elder scrolls Vs Skyrim SE in the nvidia inspector profiles, load it up and change the frame rate limiter with your new custom setting, apply then enjoy.

It really is that easy. Use the steam overlay to see the results and let me assure you that I havent seen any animals fall out of the sky or tumbling anything. It runs just as before but much smoother. Hope this helps.

Thumps up!

Was a solution for high frames when game first came out, don't have a direct link but I did make a note of it.

In Skyrim.ini add this line under
[HAVOK]
fMaxTime=0.0333 is for 30fps, may help performance on slow computers
fMaxTime=0.0166 is for 60fps
fMaxTime=0.0133 is for 75fps
fMaxTime=0.0111 is for 90fps
fMaxTime=0.0083 is for 120fps
fMaxTime=0.0069 is for 144fps
fMaxTime=0.0042 is for 240fps+

Can't say I actually tried it as I hated the togglable sprint key they implemented instead of the original push and hold to sprint method and stopped playing it. Need to investigate whether theres a work around it, just CBA right now.

To be honest, I haven't tried these (above), since my game (SSE) is "locked" on 60fps - which is fine to me (since I was playing LE version with 400+ mods and I had... even 20 or lower fps in some areas).

But I'll try it.

I did try all this before and nothing seemed to work.
I have found that my solution was quick and simple.

You will notice that in nvidia Inspector, you can easily create a custom FPS limit.
You can go to 111 FPS, but the water starts to flicker at 112 FPS. So I backed off a couple of notches and rounded it off to 110.

Please try what I have put in. You will be amazed

Im running an i7 clocked at 4.8 over water, 16 GB ram, 1080 strix and 1000W modular PSU.
With this setup, 60 FPS is needless.
You may aswell get what you can out of it.

lol 1000w? you could propably run dual strix 1080 (advanced) with 750

Thats exactly my point my freind.
I bought the ultra PSU so in future I will not need another.
Pretty shortly I will buy another strix and I use my PC as a hub center.
If the power is there I am good to go.
The PSU only draws what it needs.
Cant go wrong with surplus power.
:-)

Incase anyone finds this and can’t get it to work I had to do a few extra steps but now it seems to be working:
•Op said to add bLockFramerate=0 to skyrimprefs.ini. This actually needs to be added to skyrim.ini which is located in the data folder under my games then skyrimSE
•I didn’t follow any of the advice in the link as I couldn’t, because I have no editable files for Nvidia inspector as it didn’t install I just have a .exe file in a folder when I downloaded from github.....so I just went into Nvidia inspector and selected skyrimSE from the home tab and set frame rate limiter to ~110 FPS (the value isn’t exactly 110 FPS as it has no option for exactly 110, I believe its 110.6)
•next, as I had already messed around with other fixes I reverted all 3D settings in Nvidia control panel, there is a button to do this on the program page for skyrimSE. These settings should be monitor tech-gsync compatible(if applicable), refresh rate-highest available, vsync-off.
•I then added the [HAVOK] line to skyrim.ini, but I didn’t set the 144hz version I set the 120hz version(see comment above for these values if you don’t know what I’m talking about.
•then I changed iVsyncPresentInterval=1 to 0, this is found in skyrimprefs.ini in the same documents my games I mentioned earlier
•then that should be it, unless you have an ENB mod installed, as these come with a menu to tweak settings for the ENB (usually found by pressing shift+enter in game. In this menu is an option to force vsync which is checked by default. This needs to be unchecked. Also it has a frame limiter which needs to be unchecked. Then you must click save config before exiting.

And from then I had zero frustration anymore, things seem to be working perfectly. I haven’t fully tested and if I reach any issues I will edit this post. But this seems to work for me.

Thank you, dude! This worked for me.
