Solitude Liberation Glitch

Hello,

after the battle of Solitude, in which I managed to kill Tulius and Rikke, Ulfric gave his speech as usual and the quest ended.

However, after I've been questing for a while, the map markers for Solitude and the Blue Palace never returned. There are still Haafingar guards all over the place and the city is still in ruins (altho it's not burning anymore) and the battle music is playing. The palace is locked as well as the bard academy. Every person in the city acts as nothing happened. Also Elisif makes her usual speak as Ulfric won. Simply everyone, from Windhelm to Solitude acts as they're supposed to. But the city is still in "war mode".

I tried to talk with Ulfric again and no change. Also I tried the setstage CWsiegeobj 9000 console comnmand, quested for a while, but that didn't help either.

Does anyone has any solutions for this?


PS: I defeated the Dark Brotherhood long before I started the CW. I'm not Thane in Solitude or Windhelm yet.

PPS: The only mod I use is the one that shows the Barenziah Stones on the map, but I started using that after the battle.

Apologies for the necro, but I just got hit with this bug last night myself. Trying all of the fixes here did not work, but as a last ditch effort, I travelled to Windhelm, waited 30 days, then went to Katla's Farm and walked back to Solitude from there, and for some reason that broke me out of the bug and restored Solitude back to normal.

PC player, modded, using USSEP so beware, while it probably fixes some of the triggers for this, it doesn't fix all of them!

Again, sorry for the necro on this thread, but if it helps other people get out of this, it's worth it IMO.

I had this bug and did this and it worked for me as well. I used the 'set timescale to 9999' command to speed up the days so I wasn't waiting for ages. If anyone tries this, make sure you set the timescale back to 20 when done.
