Is Skyrim special edition worth it?
Ive been looking into buying skyrim on pc and i am wondering if it still is or are developed many mods for it, or am i better off to buy the original game and mod that instead?

There are many mods for the special edition and more will become available when the SKSE becomes available in potentially a few months.

I think you are better off buying the Special Edition. It is a better base game and will have just as much mod support (if not more) as the original.

I agree with Menshai. There may not be as many mods for SSE right now, but once the Script Extender is released, the mods are literally going to explode because SSE is a much more stable platform than the original version. They won't come all at once, and many of the mods currently for the original version that require the script extender will take some time to be converted because it will be a little different from the original script extender.
So yes, it is worth the purchase. If you haven't played Skyrim before, then you shouldn't add too many mods to the game to begin with anyway. get to know the game first, and then see what you want to improve to customise the game to your liking.

the steam spring sale is coming up next month (if I remember right). So, if you can't get the money right away for it, it may be worth it for you to wait for that.

Actually, you should probably buy old Skyrim, with mods it looks even better then SE plus there are wayyyy more mods as some people haven't ported their mods over to SE. Most people who own SE got for free cause they had Skyrim Legendary Edition.

If you do buy it, I agree it is more stable, but DO NOT pay full price. Definitely NOT worth twice as much as normal Skyrim.
