I find that mages in College of Winterhold are like... really bad
I remember in Oblivion
we have that "Touch of the Mountain" Spell
and one of which can be used to hit an AoE effect.
basically when 12 or so Soldiers are after you. Just shoot in the centre of them and suddenly all 12 get blasted in every direction from an extremely potent lightning spell.
Apocalypse definitely has spells more interesting than vanilla.
You can't really go wrong with downloading it.
Watch out for phenderix magic evolved though, unless you like being really OP and constantly bombarded with anime references.
The problem is it is hard to have a respectable amount of variety without having a few OP spells.
Apocalypse may have some spells that are over the top, but it is nowhere near as bad as some other spell packages.
