Balgruuf the Greater or Vignar Gray-Mane

Who do you personally think would be the best for Whiterun?
I mean part of the reason why its very conflicted for me to join Stormcloaks
is to kick Balgruuf the Greater out of his Jarl position
despite he doesnt seem like a bad guy
and trusted you quite quickly
Even giving you things and making you Thane quite early as lv. 4 in the game...

Im going stormcloaks this time since I know what happens at the end of Empire many many times.

Balgruuf is the better option between the two. He's a better man and a smarter leader.

You lose thane status if you kick Balgruuf off the throne.

That said whenever I go on a guard killing spree in Whiterun, Vignar joins in, kills the guards for me, and then says some variation of "What happened here?"... So maybe the crazy old coot is good for some comedy.

You can get it reinstated. But you have to do the "help my people" thane quest like with every other hold. It's the same with every replaced jarl. You lose thane status and have to get it back. The only exception is in Solitude.

Doesn't matter. People's lives won't be better or worse whatever side you choose. This is kinda an irony as both sides basically only care their own interests. Even though vignar seems more like a warhead, if the war is ongoing he still won't agree to put whiterun in danger to capture a dragon. BTW what does 'waifu' mean? Bodyguard or something?

Waifu means Wife.
Or... a gaming terminology for do-able individuals
