Faendal or Sven?

with the amorous adventures mod you actually Can have Camilla for yourself and throw them both under the bus.

I always choose Faendal because Sven is worthless to you as a player, Faendal can be a follower and even a trainer. Also because I don't know of any other Bosmer followers in the vanilla game, so I like faendal

Faendal. I love my archer rogues and he teaches archery......one walkthrough with my orc, I talked to both of them and squealed on them both to her.....lol

I tell her of their "plans", they´re both petty plotting plebs and neither deserve to win. Don´t really care about Camilla, just don´t want either of them to succeed.

Faendal can train you in archery up to 50 for free, his high archery stat makes him a useful followerer till a bit past the level cap (Aela pretty much replaces him in this role), and his level cap is 30. When not a follower, he's also good for defending you from hired thugs, vampires, and assassins while you are in Riverwood and thanks to his archery, tends to do it without getting himself pointlessly killed.

Sven has horrible stats due to his civilian class, has a level cap of 20. Sometimes randomly starts his usual bard behavior which causes him to bug out a bit, has the lowest crime tolerance in the game, can't train you in anything, and is overall kind of useless. I suppose he does get points for being your source of the "you should go tell the Jarl of Whiterun about the dragon attack" direction if you didn't head back with either Ralof or Hadvar.

Level 20, and the original bartender of the Bannered Mare needs to be alive. You also might need to ask for rumors a few times before you get the quest, since other rumors like Fallion's cure for vampirism and the face changer seem to take priority.

They are all irrelevant, sometimes I help one, sometimes I help the other, sometimes I just ignore them, none of it matters to anyone.

Level 20, and the original bartender of the Bannered Mare needs to be alive. You also might need to ask for rumors a few times before you get the quest, since other rumors like Fallion's cure for vampirism and the face changer seem to take priority.

Obviously you'll help Feandal, because he's a fine marksman and helps a lot with his bow.
But this is for the early stages of the game. None of these two is worth to keep him as companion, there are few dozen BETTER followers than these two.

It's a while till you get Aela. Faedal is probably the best archer you can get until then.
