recurring sound, sound that wont go away.
I have a recurring sound issue, it sounds like Fire, almost crackling, almost like sparks.
If I open the menu in game the sound goes away,
I uninstalled all mods didn't work.
I started a new game, no recurring sound.

I don't want to start a new game to keep playing, and I don't want to hear this noise anymore.
i tried this mod
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/43729/?
magic sound loop fixed, but does not seam to work with Skyrim SE.

SOUND FIX

Search up a command list and find a command dealing with sound ques. Commands fix loops easily, just save before using the console. Had a similar problem with the time shout, caused time to slow forever. Used console to fix it, but the sound was so delayed. So found another command, forgot which one sorry, (I'll try to link the list I found) and it worked like a charm.

Edit:
Here's the guide with commands I used. Good luck. If nothing works, try resetting in-game time.

I had this problem several times on oldrim. An exit to desktop - reload skyrim - load game almost always fixed it for me. The one time it didn't, casting lightning bolt and/or sparks and triggering the sound again cause it to fix itself.

Really? Sex change? I'm sure there is a more simple fix for it than that.
@Darknothing Thanks Bro, Finally the sound is gone.

This thread came up when I was searching for a way to disable spider sounds in Skyrim.

The description "like Fire, almost crackling, almost like sparks" is a lot like what I hear but in my case it turned out to be (after much hunting around) the sound of spiders trying to climb steps but getting stuck.

Still looking for a way to trun this sound off, as it's quite annoying.

Do you want the Spiders gone also? Several Arachnephobe mods around.

Just replacing the sound seems like a case of finding what sound file(s) are played by spiders and replacing them with a file of another sound (say like skeevers or wolves). 5-10 minutes with the extracted Skyrim - Sounds.bsa would likely benefit you. Not sure how technically inclined you are.

okay it is 2024 now and as far as i'm aware, there isn't a mod that fixes this problem yet, so i'm commenting to hopefully improve visibility of this post on google & such because it was a pain in the ass for me to find.

i got the weird static crackling sound from the aftland corrupted sound bug & i didn't notice it until it was too late in my save for me to pick up an old one. i went back to the aftland animunculory (the cell that causes it) and i was able to temporarily fix the bug by leaving & saving, but the next time i opened the game it came back.

the "sexchange" console command fixed this for me (as recommended above) after it was a very persistent problem in my save. if you're having trouble with the aftland animunculory buzzing, i suggest you try it out.

Beginner's Shack in Riverwood also causes some sound problem for some players.
It is a popular mod. See if you have it installed. Not sure if there's a fix for it.

Fixing creature breathing sounds persisting after cell change...etc. This is fix in Powerofthree's Tweaks mod. There are few of sound fixing mods out there like Chillrend audio bug fix...etc. Engine fixes its not gonna hurt either. As i said before those who want to disable or volume down some sound effects best option is to get known some basic in Creation Kit or at least get SSEEdit.

Oh WTF this works! I have been searching a way to get rid of this sound as I don't know how else I can describe it when doing a google search. Thanks a bunch for sharing this, sexchange defintely worked!
