Can't Join Thieves Guild
I'm trying to join the Thieves Guild for the achievements, but after I complete the "A Chance Arrangement" quest, I go to the Ragged Flagon and Brynjolf isn't there. Whenever he is, he doesn't say anything, except for "Hm?". I've tried multiple times, also purposely failing the quest to see if that would somehow work, but the problem still occurred. I think it may be because I killed the two bandits at the beginning of the Ratway a long while ago, but I'm not sure. I think I may also be missing something, but I really don't know. Could someone please help?

bandits not have anything to do with it go to area where you talk to him in market and see if he is their if is then try this ~`then click on him and type disable then hit enter then type enable then hit enter again and then try finding him in the flagon

I tried that, and I completed the "A Chance Arrangement" quest, and I can't get "Taking Care of Business" thing to show up

When I get there, it doesn't let me talk to him, he just says "hm?". When I try doing it again, he sometimes doesn't even show up

ok do this ~` player.setav attackdamagemult 9999999 then hit enter then hit him then retype player.setav attackdamagemult 9 to seat weapons to normal it for weapon damage overpower it look normal in inventory but not on ground yes it works

makes them overpower like realy high like 845678 lvl damage also outher one with just one 9 make it normal like if it 20 damage or somthing that it is normaly is in game

Mate you gotta meet him at the marketplace, during the day. He will ask to scam some dunmer while he distracts the rest of the merchants with a speech.

Red, no matter what crimes you do, if you don't follow the Quest's requirements, you won't join them And it's simple to join them...
...The very first time you entering Riften, a "strange" guy is staring you and talks to you. If you have found already (in "Companions" HQ, you can find one) a "Unidentified Strange Gem", you're talking to him and guides you to the "right" man.
When this "man" approach you, he's asking you to steal a ring and pickpock one guy and place it in his pocket...

...and THAT'S IT, you can go now to "Flagon" and join the (superb!) Guild!

Get the unofficial special edition patches, they fix all sorts of bugs.
Bethesda.net if you want to stick to an authorised vendor of mods, or Nexus if you want more freedom (plus most players recommend it)
