Need help linking my Skyrim SE to Bethesda.net so I can upload my mod.
Hi guys, I'm having a bit of a problem. I created a mod using the creation kit so naturally I want to upload it to Bethesda.net, the problem is no matter what I can't link my steam to bethesda net AT ALL. Everywhere I look everyone says that all you have to do is sign in at the mod menu ingame and you'll be linked and allowed to upload your mod from the creation kit. Instead I'm always greeted with a message that says "Warning: Your Bethesda.net account must be linked to your Skyrim SE Steam account in order to upload mods to Bethesda.net" when i sign in at the creation kit. It's as if it doesn't realize I've done it at all. Please, if anyone has a clue as to how I can make this work or anything I'd really appreciate it.

You don't just go into Beth and validate it
Go to option in Beth for SSE click on it and then validate.

What do you mean? All the things ive read say that all you have to do to link your steam is too sign in at the mods menu ingame

No if you have CK in SSE, it is there, just needs to validate it from Beth(like game in steam).
If not in the game, open Beth and install CK64 and it will place it in game through steam and course the above applies for validation..

Remember this CK normal is for skyrim. CK64 is for skyrim special edition which is contolled by beth.

I validated my files in the bethesda launcher as you said then opened Skyrim special edition and resigned in at the mod menu. Then I signed in at the CK and I'm still greeted with the same message. nothings changed lol

If you have CK icon in skyrim SE folder R/click on icon and add it to task bar. Close out and use that and see what happens.
Don't need to be in game or Beth.

I have this exact same problem. The entire internet seems confused about what is a login problem, and what is a linking problem. XD I am logged in just fine everywhere. Anything else linked to Bethesda, I never have to sign in again, but SkyrimSE I have to sign in EVERY time.

I asked their forum a few days back. No answers there either, so I will be happy to see a solution if you find one. I will be sure to respond as well if I find one.

1. login at Bethesda.net check so your account validation(email must be verified) and linking under the profile is correct once that done login to your steam , steam must be in online mode and you must be on steam friends logged in and online all time
2 as that is done start skyrim special edition login in to the mods site
3. the steam overlay must be active as you do that and steam must be in online mode and your friend list online and logged in.
4.now that account link should be active
5. use the betehsda.net launcher login to it steam must be active and in online mode with your friends list loged in and online. validate you skyrim special edition creation kit
6. launch the skyrim special edition creation kit and login to bethesda.net while you steam is active and you friendlist loged in for steam and online!

that should make the link in the Skyrim Special Edition Creation Kit work!

never be in offline mode as you try to link your steam account it will block the linkage!
both steam and bethesda.net account must have verified email adresses and steam friend list must be logd in and online and steam must be all time run in online mode!

Nope. Considering nothing changed from the way I was doing it outside having the overlay up (?) when I was tabbed over to launch the creator, it still didn't work. You can't check if the thing is linked if it won't link. You can’t login to the mods section or creation kit if you aren’t online. Your answer seems to be a is a step by step on how to log in which isn't the problem.

My PS4 is Linked.

My ESO is Linked (through Steam I might add even though it took a year for it prompt me and ask.)

So whatever took Steam and Bethesda a year to link my ESO seems to be blocking my SkyrimSE now. (That's just a guess.) I (We?) know how to log in. Logging in ain't a problem.

And as you said, it should work, because that's how it worked for my PS4. I even unlinked my PS4 a couple days ago, thinking maybe having that linked was blocking Steam, but no. So, I logged it back, and it linked -again- first try.

It doesn’t make sense, plain and simple. XD Thanks though.

FYI, mine is linked now. I don't know why or how, maybe it was the update a couple days ago, but my firewall did try to block it, you may want to look at that.
