Best Assassin Armor
Cannot find anything solid on this topic through Google, but can anyone advise what would be better late game. Ancient Shrouded or Fully improved and enchanted crafted armor? Assuming the gloves from shrouded remain BIS for the bonus but is wearing Ancient shrouded still better than making your own? Quite disappointed if it is but most results seem to say ancient shrouded is basically assassin bis.

Thanks

You killing the female leader of "Dark Brotherhood" and you'll get the best gear AND weapon for sneaking/assassin fight!

Shroud gloves or ancient shroud gloves - steath attack 2x damage. Combined with the Assassin's Blade perk, I can deal 30x damage with a dagger stealth attack.

Custom parts - Without DLC and any dirty trick, each part add 40% One-handed damage. Four parts (Neck, arms, finger, feet) add 160% total. Or let's say 2.6x damage. But Fortify One-handed doesn't effect dagger damage. I can only combine it with the Backstab perk, deal 2.6 * 6 = 15.6x damage with a sword stealth attack.

In old Skyrim, a dagger receives benefit from Fortify One-handed after Unoffical Skyrim Patch. Thus player custom armor set deals 2.6 * 15 = 39x dagger sneak damage. But I'm not sure if there's an unoffical patch in Skyrim SE.

Same thing. You're getting THE BEST armor... and boosting it up!

So the concencus is that the Ancient shrouded is better than anything you can make custom? I would have thought that making your own dragon bone chest, boots and cowl with 2 enchants on would be much better than the fixed perks you are offered surely??

Ican understand why the gloves are absolutely a must but the rest? Surely poison resistance a boost to bow can be topped or am I wrong?

Same goes for disenchanting blade of woe then re-adding the enchant plus a 2nd enchant to say a daedric dagger?

The best armour overall in game is the Nightingale set. Not only does it look good, for an assassin, it has many benefits too.

Best assassin armor is no armor. Armor just slows you down. Armor is a big flag that you're not a very good assassin. A good assassin never gets hit because a good assassin is in and out without anyone knowing he was ever there... until the body is discovered.

Pick up the shrouded clothes and leave the armor where it is.

What's best for an assassin is a good bow, not a dagger. You can play naked and be fine, because you shouldn't even be seen.

I use a bow but considering daggers are x30 damage...
