What do you consider to be 'low FPS'? The game is locked on 60 FPS because it is tied to the games physics.

Like it stays at 60 untill about 30-40mins of gameplay then it stays at like 30fps for the rest of the session, weird huh?

that makes it sound like something else is loading up in the background while you are playing.

check your video card temps, maybe it's getting hot and the card is throttling itself to keep from overheating.

Skyrim SSE is a 64bit game that can only run on a 64bit OS. If you have more than 8Gb of RAM, it will use it. If it can't get it it's because you have other programs running that take it. This isn't like 32bit Oldrim where you have to jump through hoops to give it memory.

Also note that RAM is different from VRAM.

To give it more RAM, install more RAM. Done.

Well my game clearly isn't using more ram as with the game running i task managered it and it was only using 4 so stop telling me stuff i already know about the diffrence between vram and ram and give me a solution or get out of this discussion. Done

Yes. I think you are done. Good luck.

I don't understand the question, since you're asking how do we recode the engine. Why do you believe your FPS halving exactly means it's not using enough ram? By the sounds of it, you've got v-sync setup incorrectly. Try turning it off and see what happens.

The game uses as much RAM as it needs to. RAM isn't "go faster juice". Think of it like the top of a workbench - the more space you've got, the easier it is for you to place and organise whatever it is you're working with. There comes a point, though, where you've set out everything you need and having more room won't aid your project.

If you want the game to use more, then you've got to make it need more. Try installing some more texture mods, or mods that add more NPCs to cities, etc.

Of course, none of this will help with your frame rate issues...

Give us more info so we can figure out what is happening and why.

Without mods the game only uses 4ish gig of ram

If it's only using 4 gig of RAM, then obviously that's all it needs. You may know the difference between RAM and VRAM, but you clearly don't know how a 64 bit program works. It can use all the RAM that it needs, there are no restrictions other than the amount that you have in your system. There is no way to give it any more than it's already using up. If you're experiencing slowdowns, then it has nothing to do with your RAM.

are you saying you think you are crashing because you don't have enough memory? you seem to be saying two opposite things and i'm not really understanding clearly what you mean.

It does not. Quote from another thread:

There's no way it could do that with 32 bit memory addressing.

I believe your game crashes. I believe you experience it at around 3.5GB of memory usage. But running out of memory isn't the cause, unless you're actually/accidentally playing Oldrim.
