Skyrim Special And Legendary Editions?
Hi, sorry if I sound like an idiot for asking this but I was just wondering, what's the difference between the Legendary and Special editions of Skyrim? I know that the special edition and the Legendary have the DLCs for Skyrim but in the legendary edition you can also have added features like combat cameras, mounted combat, Legendary difficulty mode for hardcore players, and Legendary skills. Does the Special edition have this or no?

Special edition has everything as legendary edition except special edition has slightly better graphics. If you want a lot of mods right now buy legendary edition if you can wait for the script extender to come out buy special edition.

Thanks! Also, do you know when exactly the script extender will be released? I found that the legendary edition is a lot cheaper than the special on other websites like GamesplanetUK. So I'm considering buying Legendary instead of special. Any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be released in march but the people who are making it said they're busy with irl so they're not sure when its supposed to come out and no problem for info :)

The biggest difference between Skyrim LE and SE is SE has a 64-bit engine vs. LEs 32-bit. This will eventually allow for much more complex mods for SE once the needed software utilities are released.

Also the old Skyrim is Dx9 x32 and the SE edition is Dx11 x64

SE provides much better performance and stability for high-end machines.

Hey, my PC is coming up 4 years old, It's a potato - lol. Mid range and it's soooo stable it's unbelievable. Currently level 63 with no paid for training, so you can imagine the hours I've put in to this toon, and not one single ctd or lock-up. Damn,, I'm going to regret typing that now - sods law and all, :-)

I just bought Legendary Edition on PC, but when I heard that special edition had the better graphics, I wanted to buy that instead. If I already own Legendary edition, what will happen if I buy Special Edition? Because I want the remastered graphics.

It's a seperate game so will just be added to your library but you can just download graphic mods for legendary edition

They are technically 2 different games(but ofc still gameplaywise and graphicalls they are the same jsut prettier and a more stablle engine for it for SE), so all that will happen is taht you own both.
Do keep in mind though that the SE does ahve higher system requirements, though nothing astonomical, but if you got an old computer keep that in mind.
And since according to your profile you havent reached the 2hours of gameplay yet, you should be able to easily refund the legendary edition as well (assuming you ahvent owned it for more than 14 days either, which I assume you dont since you said you just bought it)
