I don't understand. How are you overwriting them if you're not using them simultaneously?

Have you tried a new game? Are you using clothing/body texture mods that match whichever body mod you are using? How bad is the seam, there is usually some sort of seam there.

And as Anqayas asked, if not using them at the same time how did they overwrite each other?

Try verifying your files following this guide, the part about the appcache folder is important...

Edit: And test on a new game.

No need to back them up. Steam will create new ones for you. It should get rid of it on new games. The bug may be baked into your existing game save. So be sure to test on a new game.

Please post a screen shot, skyrim pretty much always has some neck seams as the body and head are two different parts.

Skyrim has the habit of carrying issues from old saves to new ones, maybe that's what's happening to you? To fix my gray face bug I had to delete all my saves, restart the game, and only then create a new save.

Backup your saves somewhere if you care for them though, can't guarantee it will work for you.

I am afraid that appears to be a normal neck seam that is present in vanilla.

Just saw your screenshot, looks like it's just how the game looks like. I had trouble with that too while modding, until I realized it's how it's supposed to look.

If memory serves me right, neck seams are caused by mapping incompatibilities between CBBE and UNP. There are patches available (I think) but you should usually choose one or the other. Deleting your saves won't do anything (probably).

Step 1: Uninstall both CBBE and UNP
Step 2: Test the game on a new file
-- If the seam is gone, proceed to step 3, otherwise, there are conflicting files still in your data folder --

Step 3: Install either CBBE or UNP

It's been a while since I've modded, but I'm pretty sure you should only pick one or the other unless there's a neck seam patch for the mods that you're using.
