A mod and a completionist please help me
i need to know whether of not it would be considered cheating or the game would consider it cheating to use the unoffecal skyrim special edition patch. i ask this because i have ben trying to 100 percent skyrim for a while now and i have ben using this mod, to fix one glich that i now does affect my 100 percent completion and probably prevents ones i am not aware of. i would like to know whether or not the game would consider itself 100 percented if i use this mod.

It doesn't change anything to make it easier or harder, it just patches all the errors and bugs that Bethesda didn't get round to doing cos they are lazy buggers or they didn't have time to make an official patch.

I'd definately use USLEEP if I'm doing a complete playthrough, at least I have piece of mind that the game is going to run with far fewer bugs and glitches.

It does add a few daedric Artifacts that aren't Daedric artifacts for the purpose of one certain cheevo, making that particular cheevo a breeze.

what i am conserned about is will the game count it as 100 percent complete when i do that if i used the unoffecal patch

What do you mean by does the game count it as 100%. Do you mean getting all the achievements, doing every quest? You can't get all the achievements and do every quest in 1 playthrough you know.

Using the unofficial patch counts as using a mod so the achievments will be disabled. There is another mod to re-enable them though.

How would you know you got 100% of everything? Ive got 4500 hours and have not completed everything.

Like Barney said, you can't do everything in one playthrough. eg: Join the Dark Brotherhood or wipe them out. Gets worse on Solstheim. Even more choices. :-)

but if you choose one side you can just do all the side quests for that side

Actually, that you can do both. There's a quest somewhere to restart the questline. The civil war is really the best example. It will break a few unfinished quests.

You can try. There are some that are burried deep in there with several unidentified prerequisites. The best stuff is hard to miss, but finding it all in a single playthrough is unreasonable since doing one may lock another. Then there's the quests that were either never finished or removed for one reason or another. Many of which were reintroduced or finished with the cutting room floor mod. Then there's radiant quests that repeat indefinitely. Imho get your acheivements then get to modding and see why after over 5 years this game is still thriving.

i feel like i must 100 percent the game before i can really get into the new content that is the mods. if i choose to side with the dark brotherhood in stead of killing them all then it is still possable to 100 percent the game. quests that are4 unfinished that i cvan not do do not count to 100 percent completion. there are people on youtube who have 100 percented skyrim and about finshed skyrim se so i know it is possable.

Depends how you define 100%, the game doesn't have a tracker of this, afaik (given achievements don't cover everything, and nor does the stats tab I don't think). Not saying it's impossible, there are folk who have played daily since release. But there's not really any way for the game to tell you either way, I think.

ok thanks

Its not really a game that you can 100% complete, after 1000's of hours gameplay there is still things I encounter that I've never seen before---for example, I just discovered there is a hidden named dragon in Blackreach to fight, its not written in any books, notes or in any quests, its just a hidden easter egg. Its not just quests or achievements that make you think you've completed the game 100%, there is a ton of stuff that is unmarked or hidden.

I gave up on the trying to complete everything, much better to enjoy the game and not worry about stuff like that, its not a game that you can fully complete anyway, especially not in one playthrough.

That's more of an Easter egg than you realize. It's name roughly translates to smaug from lotr.

I know how you feel man. I tried too on my first playthrough, but this game will break you. You'll get to the point where the most important stat is how many bunnies you've killed. The worst(and best) part is that you'll still have fond memories and want to play again. But the completionist in you will never be sated and you're going to have to come to terms with that.
