No Workshop?
I was going to buy this, but then I noticed there is no Workshop. What's going on?

There is no Workshop for this game, nor will there ever be one. If you want mods go to the Nexus or Bethesda.net.

Why would they remove such a convenient feature? One of the reasons I bought Warband (Mount and Blade) a second time on Steam.

sigh is search that difficult ... I mean the exact same question is asked hundreds of times ... Why unless you can get steam workshop on a xbox one or ps4 .... mods are cross platform now.

Assume for a moment the OP dosn't have an X1 or P4, and thus does not know how these get mods.
Then assume that the OP does actually have either console, but not both, and so therefore is unaware as to how the other console gets mods.

Does the Search function work? Yes, assuming you can spell, or the person who wrote the thread your Search is intended to return can spell, or assuming the both of you just happen to misspell the same word the same way.

Why is a simple "No Workshop. Mods are handled via Bethesda.net" so difficult?

yeah, and you've only played 6 hours o it.
He.ll, you don't even own this game or the previous version of it. matter of fact, you've hardly played any of your 100+ games. Why bother making this post? Cause you're a smeggin casual gamer and a troll.

If you're playing in PC, only from Nexus get mods.

Yeah, after playing Warband for hundreds of hours (and playing the same mods found on the Workshop) off Steam. I bought it because of Workshop, but it turned out I had already played my fill.

Jesus, what is wrong with you? I'm probably replying to a troll, though, otherwise I cannot fathom this kind of hostile post.

Ignoring him, is this Bethseda.net as simple as Workshop? Is it just one click and everything is taken care of?

so this answer and the fact you spend 3000+ hours on ark and 1800 on skyrim makes you a pro gamer then? is that avatar you? i would be so sorry if it was :steamfacepalm:

didn't mean to come off hostile. we have seen dozens of these posts since last October. Bethesda decided to host their own workshop for simplicity sake since they cater to the console crowd as well.
PC users, should be using the oldest and most diverse modding community anyway, Nexus. the mods there are updated more regularly and won't mess up your save game if the mod is removed or updated while auto updating your game (you have to maually update each time). The mods on either workshop with the exception of some are ports from Nexus usually anyway for diehard workshop users.
OH, and for the Nexus users, Tanin has announced the new MM is almost ready for alpha testing. It was in a May 10 interview. Calling it Vortex.

That 1800 is only the digital version. I have almost 3k hours on the offline original DVD version and probably the same for Morrowind and Oblivion. I've been modding those games since Nexus was first launched, and not the easy point and click way of the workshop.
BTW, it's rich that you say things about me and hide your profile like a thief in the night. Yes it's me in the avatar, why does my long hair offend you or something?

Okay, ladies... did you calmed down now? Back to the point of this post...

...If you're a PC gamer, there isn't any better place to find the best mods, but the Nexus site.
Period, end of story... leave this post (and forum) and go to Nexus and start downloading stuff and build your mods-setup. So simple...

...Btw, I strongly advice you, find the "SEPTIM" guide (on Nexus) and follow it like a "Holy Bible". And when finish it... find some extra mods of your flavor and complete your setup.
This "SEPTIM" guide is PERFECT for modding-beginners.

I hope I helped... Stop wondering and reading and asking and writing... go to Nexus site and ACT, build your setup... and play (then) the damn game, that's the whole point of it.

You can get mods while in game!
And enable, disable, install, delete mods. Just like Nexus but you can do this at the same time while you play.

The long hair is confusing his sexuality, think he`s wanting an angry quickie.

You should be expecting some new life in the Skyrim SE mod section after Skyrim SE Script Extender drops. They seem to have had developement troubles, original release date was this march. They're back to no ETA right now, but it WILL be coming. The big difference is that Skyrim SE is 64 bit.

Until then the 'big' names are on Nexus. Here's a few personal recommendations you might now from original Skyrim,: Alternate Start, Ordinator, Apocalypse Magic, Armorsmith, Helgen Reborn, Falskaar, Flora Overhaul, Forgotten City, Vivid Weathers, Realistic Lighting, Cutting Room Floor, Better Horses, Violens, Immersive Patrols, Immersive Citizens.

One big let-down is: No item sorting, no real companion overhauls, mod menus only via books/powers.

Here's the original dev quote on the postponement:

“Sorry, this isn’t intended to be an April Fools joke or something like that.

I don’t really have any good news. A large amount of the core code (papyrus support, scaleform support, etc) is ready, but the layout of most of the game data classes still needs to be verified as unchanged from the 32-bit version.

I haven’t had any time to work on this for the past few months due to work, and I assume the same is true for Stephen. Making time estimates for full-time professional engineering projects is very hard, and this is far from that.

Again, sorry for getting people’s hopes up.”
