This game is such a blast. I never usually leave reviews on games in EA, but this one seriously takes the cake. It's functional and has survival mechanics: temperature, crafting, hunting, foraging, gear, weapons/tools and base building. The mechanics as of current are honestly in such a good spot, I hope there will be preservation methods for food (drying racks? The current ones are for hide drying). Game runs really smooth, optimization is top tier. The base building is so goated, Its so nice to get started on a game where building is actually ready to go. Its a very simple system that is efficient. Its been a long time to have a game like this when survival horror craft is your main thing. I've played The Forest, Raft, Grounded, 7DTD, The Long dark, Don't starve etc. You know it, I've tried it/completed it. So with the knowledge of how other survival crafts have gone, this game is on TOP OF IT!! I also love how they have taken a LOT of concepts from other games and place it into one game. Oh oh and being able to rest at a fire! I can be a lazy gamer and I love that I can sit by the fire, rest and admire my base during a snowstorm.

NOW with my rambling of how much I adore this game is over. Early game can be rough. Tough it out, watch your surroundings, check the weather in anticipation to see if you have time to run around or if you need to get food before weather gets bad. Idk wtf is outside at night :( I'm too scared to find out right now LMAO. This game is NOT for instant gratification, if you don't wanna put effort into it, its probably not for you. They want you to learn, mess up and try again. I personally love that aspect, it gives the survival feel better.

The weather doesn't bother me as long as you're prepare, you can find little hidey holes in rocks to ride out a storm if you need to. What does bother me is these white tengus that spawn in the storms?? I understand that tengus i in general spawn due to storms, but idk what these white tengus are for and why they're stronger than normal? Its already lame that ill get caught in the storm and die to freezing (which is a concept to the game), but to die in the storm to roided up tengus?? That's my only qualm as of current.

I cannot wait to update my review as the game releases more content.
