How do I rotate with Oculus?!
Seriously, just went through the tutorial, remember part where if you hold the trigger you can rotate your view, but then after the tutorial it didn't work. Now all of my shots are facing backwards and I can't seem to rotate my view. Honestly the controls altogether are very messy to use, but I'll get the hang of it. But geez I really need this basic feature to WORK!

The tutorial sets up your facing direction for gameplay. Teleport to ball (not free teleport) will snap you to the ball to swing in that same direction. There is no free rotation controls in this game.

Absolutely absurd! Why would they ignore such a simple quality-of-life feature?! I already refunded this terrible VR experience... so disappointing because the game itself seemed like just what I've been looking for, but not if the VR implementation is unplayable without completely reworking my playspace to accommodate a single game... not gonna happen.

I know you're gone from Golf Club VR but I think you're laboring under a misunderstanding. You set your facing direction during the tutorial. After that If the facing direction changes you must go back to that spot in the tutorial to reorient again. With my Rift S it seemed that almost every time I wanted to play I had to go to the tutorial to reorient my facing direction due to my limited real life play space. But eventually every thing finally caught on to which way I want to face and I haven't had to fiddle with it for months. Also your Guardian system boundary seems to set the ball center point in your play area. Without the Guardian perimeter I often ended up in walls around my play area.

I misread that instruction when doing it too. And faced the trigger to the option to move on and stood facing the way i wanted it. But you do it as two separate. You face the way you want it and pull the trigger not targeting anything but pointing the direction you want, THEN turn and face the go to the next page and point at it and pull the trigger again.

If that's how it's intended to work, it's poor design. How hard is it to add simple thumbstick controls to move around like any other VR game? I get that it's disorienting for some, but it's necessary for others. The point is the lack of options, being forced into a design mechanic that for me and my very long and narrow playspace simply does not work. If they can't design their game to accommodate as many use-cases as possible, they're going to lose sales... case in point.
Imagine being physically handicapped and finally thinking you have a way to play golf thanks to VR, and then you're met with this sort of frustration, the game forcing you to move to its position and not being able to move the game to yours. Can't rotate the shot unless you rotate yourself... imagine someone in a wheelchair trying to line that up! It's pretty sad when you think of it that way, actually...

Somebody in another post said if you hold down y and move the controller left or right it would rotate your direction. I will try it next time I am in game to confirm!

I tried that with my Rift S and Touch controllers. It didn't work for me.

To rotate. You have to hold the B button down and then move your arm to the left or right. It works like that on the Rift S at least.

Here's a video showing it rotating.

I just tried it on my Rift S and Touch controllers. Couldn't get it to work and I have no idea why. Thanks for the suggestion though.

It could be to do with your guardian and steam VR setup. Make sure that you've completed the tutorial, then reconfigure the guardian and steam room settings.

All of this just proves the point that this game's VR support is broken. It's like they've never actually played a VR game before... even Cloudlands handles this better, and it's a bit janky too!

Yeah, I've tried all that. Still can't get your method to work. However it doesn't hinder my playing at all. There are far too many other more important problems that will never be fixed.
Thanks for the effort though. I do appreciate it.

And I'll bet they've lost a lot of sales as a result while the rest of the VR world flies past them at light speed. I know I returned my purchase, and I'm sure many others have done the same or just passed on this altogether. Shame, I really did want a good VR golf game... I guess I may have to settle for Cloudlands 2 until someone does the sport justice AND provides a good VR experience. There are WAY more VR users than there were four years ago, and it's a real missed opportunity for a dev to put all that time into a game only to bork it up with a few outdated choices.

I have to say even though it's a little buggy, it is still the closest to real golf that I've ever played. Even though the turn function works on my setup - I rarely use it, and you can navigate easy enough with just the teleport. There are literally hundreds of courses and being able to add your own through the course designer in TGC is a great.
