Oculus menu button not working

I can't get past the lighthouse because the menu button doesn't work on Rift CV1.

works fine, the button to press is the analog stick itself, menu's pop up no problem

Interesting that it works for you, my analog stick buttons work in my other games, but not this one. I even tried assigning other buttons to the analog stick press through steamvr and nothing. Do I need the full version of the game too, or just the VR version?

Nope, TGCVR version should work fine. Did you try BOTH controllers? I had both turned on, maybe one works the other does not?

edit: I'm on SteamVR BETA if that helps?

I've tried with both controllers and with and without the steam beta branch.
Very strange. I saw another thread where the Rift user gave up and plugged in his odyssey to get the menu going.

I apologize for taking it down a little too basic lol but I gotta add: when I say "clicking on the analog stick button", I mean clicking on the top of the analog stick itself. the stick is a joystick and a button. I don't mean any other button but the stick itself.

Out of curiosity, do the rift S touch controllers show up or the rift controllers? I don't remember for sure myself but want to ensure your steam vr is seeing your touch controllers as the right controllers per your hardware

Aside from this, I would say to maybe uninstall and reinstall the game itself in case something got corrupted.

analog stick click, yes. They are rift cv1 controllers. I have tried both rift and touch profiles. uninstall, reinstall same results. I use the analog stick click in many other vr games, just this one doesn't work.

Oh your original post says Rift CV2 (which would be the Rift S to me and many others). unfortunately I no longer have my Rift CV1, so cannot confirm if others have same issue as you

I wonder what obscure or obsolete call they used that support Rift S but not CV1, Interesting.

it used to support CV1, would be cool if others can confirm in case it is something local to your system that is the issue

I don't know if you can edit your original post but you should change that to CV1. People can't help if they don't have the right info

I tried the game with a htc vive. The problem was that the tutorial audio wasn't initiating with the oculus, so it wasn't clear how to proceed past the second tutorial screen. The menu system isn't active until the tutorial is completed. The CV1 menu button does indeed work with this game.

i'm trying to figure this out. Someone please help. I have an oculus and i can't select the second advance button...don't know why. i point at it and hit the trigger but nothing happens. no golf bag either. idk what to do.
