Can't hit the ball
Idk what to do. Just about every time I play this I end up quitting because I can't hit the ball after several tried. I KNOW I'm making good swings. I've tried adjusting floor settings but it hasn't done much.

Can you tell us more about your set up? Both the specs of your rig and a description of your roomscale set up?

Making contact with the ball can be difficult on Amateur and Pro, so we'd suggest playing on Casual or Beginner. When you swing and miss, have you tried holding down on the trackpad to see the swing analyzer? If you swing and miss, but are still fairly close to the ball we draw a red missed line so you see how you missed.

If all else fails try playing on Beginner and locking the ball trajectory by placing the club face behind the ball and press up on the trackpad to lock the green line that is displayed. Then swing and try to hit the ball again.

Other recommendation: on beginner and casual, there's no need to swing so hard so start off slow. This also has the benefit to provide more control over your swing so you aren't missing the ball. The swing analyser as CraigC mentions really helps with this. Once you get your swing straightened out, you can then try and increase speed in your swing. Keep pressing down on the trackpad after every swing to keep tabs on it.

Make sure your floor is properly calibrated. Put your controller on the ground in game. Does it sink through the floor or float above the ground? It needs to be perfect.

Tried this again recently, still having problems. My floor is calibrated well. Whenever I swing with any sort of speed the clubhead goes above the ball. I'm 99.9% sure it's not me. I've sat there and made very controlled swings while watching the clubhead and it tends to swing outside the target line.

I'm a regular golfer who shoots in the 80s - not great, but no slouch either. I also struggle to both hit the ball sometimes, but mostly to get any sort of distance out of my regular swing. I'm putting a pretty good/fast swing on the ball and usually get above average distances from my clubs.

That's the most frustrating thing so far about this otherwise great VR offering of a great game. What am I missing (besides the ball...lol)?

It has so much potential, I think it might need to adopt a little bit of some arcadey tuning to get things working right.

Weird..i've only ever played real golf once and i don't have any trouble hitting the ball.(not tried the top difficulty yet). Club head speed is about 80-90 mph and i usually drive it around 230 yards.
I used the practise area to get used to the controls when i first bought the game.
I think this is the best VR game and I still find it fun after 70 hours gametime.

After fighting with it and misses i take it for what it is, its not a golf simulator its a game. I mean i hit a 280 yard 3 wood one handed with a half swing lol, so lol
