RealityCapture Steam Edition

RealityCapture Steam Edition

New Epic games system
What is happening to my Steam license now when Epic have bought RC? I can't pay per month with unlimited exports anymore? The Credit systems seems super expensive. Will probably stop using this program.

Is it possible to buy the one month right now and get the perpetual license ?
" Users of RealityCapture for Steam with an active license purchased before March 9, 2021 are also eligible for a Perpetual Enterprise license."

This would be the only for me to support and use reality capture.
Cloud computing PPI sadly isn't an option for me

I really hope that Epic will make this tool for free, or perpetual consumer license for <100$.
Not because the software is bad : blender is free and really powerful

Unfortunately no, you are entitled to a license upgrade only if you have an active license purchased before March 9, 2021. That means that the license start date is 8 March 23:59 the latest.

@zuduri Sorry, I'm a little confused by this text "Users of RealityCapture for Steam with an active license purchased before March 9, 2021 are also eligible for a Perpetual Enterprise license.". Is this saying that if I had a valid steam license prior to March 9th, I will be automatically upgraded to the Perpetual Enterprise License after migrating my account, meaning I would not have to pay the 3,750$ fee, or something else...?

Yes, as far as I understand
"In order to receive the loyalty award, eligible users will need to have migrated their Capturing Reality account to an Epic Games account by May 31, 2021."
You're a lucky one

I migrated and get NOTHING. :steamsad:
Login with Epic account - No licence
Login with Steam account - No licence
I wrote to support and didn't even get an auto reply about the created ticket.

Dear Steam users,
We would like to clarify eligibility for the ENT Perpetual license of RealityCapture for steam customers, that have purchased RealityCapture license via Steam. You need to have paid for the steam license subscription before 9th March 2021 (up until 23:59 8th March 2021 CET), and that subscription needs to still be active (not expired) at the time of migration. if you have experienced any issues with the migration please contact support support@capturingreality.com

@TON14, FYI had a similar experience after migration, no new license other than my legacy steam version (I had an active subscription). I emailed support, gave them my account name, and they manually added the license to my account this morning (and it worked!), felt like Santa had come during the night (literally work up 2 hours early to check my email).

Feel the pain of everyone who wished they had purchases a Steam subscription before March 9th, like that time I when to a bitcoin meetup 8 years ago, but seemed to complex so never bought any ;D.

Hi @TON14,
I understand that you have already tried to email us but for some reason your correspondence did not get through to us, please try again, do not worry if we have a duplicate ticket we will just merge the tickets.
Well I am not so lucky since I canceled my steam subscription when it stopped working. Instead I bought the credit version.

I have bee using steam RC time to time because I don't like the PPI option since it would make my models extremely expensive. So if I now pay monthly fee for reality capture steam 36.99$ when I need it, can I use it just as before and without PPI? My objects are small in size but pretty detailed... and they have about 600 - 1000 images each so the PPI is not really an option for me. I am happy if I can continue to use use RC as before even that 36.99 is a pretty expensive price...

Of course the a limited version like RC Steam should be now free for all unreal users
