Report a translation problem
the lasso tool in RealityCapture is used just for selecting some points in your 3D model in a lasso-like shape in order to find images corresponding to them (there is a separate button "Find Images" next to the "Points Lasso" tool).
This tool becomes active (clickable) just when you are in a 3D view of a model and you have tie points enabled (ticked off in the 3D scene context tab).

You can always delete/cut/split polygons afterwards if you desire.
