Not working on windows 7, disc version.

So I have the disc version of this game (specifically the anthologies of war that comes with blitzkreig, american conquest, and this) this one and the napoleon one are not working, i keep receiving a runtime error, does anyone know how to fix this problem at all? Thank you

Good luck getting the disc version of the game working. Believe me, I've tried. You have to hunt down multiple official/unofficial patches and numerous other fixes, as well as a no-CD crack to play without the disc. Honestly, if you want the most the most complete version of the Cossacks series, just go buy it from DotEmu's site. They sell both Cossacks 1 and 2 plus all expansions, and the related American Conquest series, as a bundle for around $15 to $20. You could also buy from Steam, but the Steam versions of these games have their own issues, and of course have the Steam DRM. GOG.com sells these games too, but some of them are missing minor content. What DotEmu sells is completely DRM-free and works as-is, out of the box, no fixes or manual tweaking/messing around required, and no content is cut out. Just buy, download, install, and play. It really is worth buying a digital copy from them, even if you own the physical disc copies.
