Can't run on wondows 10

Hi all. Cossacks 2: battle for europe was running okay when i had windows 7 now i have upgraded to windows 10 it will not launch :( anybody have any suggestions?

im able to run the program but i get weird lines all over the screen making it impossible to play

I get as far as the main menu, but the graphics are broken down into a bunch of geometric lines... then it crashes. (Win 10)

mine goes to the loading screen, finsihes loading then crashes

I get a few hiccups, then it closes itself. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ news.

same has everyone, weird line on my screen. Nothing else ! how can we fix it?

Hi guys, sorry for my english i'm french but i'm found one solution for windows 10. Go in folder of cossacks and search all files with ".bik" ( it's extension ) delete all this files and game RUN HALeLUJA !!!!! =)

Thanks Hykar, it got me into the game but after i had won a battle it crashed again

Yhea game crash after game or with back windows in game. I haven't a solution for the moment i search promese =)

for me it works with the basics version of Cossacks 2, but it`s weird that I have 17 fps ingame --> laggs :(

Have to edit this Post:
After I go to the log.txt in the game files, and make it read-only --> it eliminates my problems, and now it runs with 170 fps !

hmm, i always read that to make the log.txt read only, but then my cossacks 2 isn´t starting anymore... :-(

no, changed nothing, reinstalled it yesterday. Now i can put the log.txt to read only and i can start the game, but the fps are still very low, i get only 14fps :-/
Both settings.* are already deleted, ... i don´t get it to work on my Win 8.1 system :(

Anyone can see the intro movies, or ingame movies?

i've tried all the suggestions and they all work, but my laptop displays only a fourth of the main menu. What do i do?
*update* i set in compatabilitymode to windows 98 and it seems to have fixed it. However the frame rate is as good as a powerpoint.

Just find into C:\Windows and copy file d3d8.dll in directory of game.

So is this a solution for the crashing? chaning compatabilitymode didn't help me at all -.-
