Engine.exe - Application Error. The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022).
Runs just fine on my Win7 machine.
1) Set both engine.exe and startengine.exe compatibility to XP3.
2) Set log.txt to read only.
3) Rename settings.cfg and settings.xml (i.e. I renamed as settings.oldcfg and settings.oldxml respectivley).
4) Search bar for "Windows Features", activate, then click on Legacy Components, expand and then click DirectPlay.
I did not delete any .bik files. I did not copy d3d8.dll into the directory.
but u could check with all windows and see if this work for u
-CPU: AMD FX-4300 Qaud-Core 3.80GHz
-RAM: 16.0 GB
-VID: Radeon RX 466
Thats probably the best solution against the lag.
