Advanced Gameplay Mechanics Information
Hi everyone!

Here’s a guide for those of you who are interested in learning more about some advanced gameplay concepts!

Parrying
A Parry occurs if you perform a Strong Block (a timed block where your gloves are covered with a blue translucent shell) when you have Golden Gloves. Parries are special for two reasons. One, they are perfect blocks, so you incur no block fatigue like you would with a regular strong block (the gray on your health bar which gets converted to damage if you take a hit). Two, you are given a longer opening to deal damage to your opponent (meaning they are stunned for longer so you can get more hits in before they stumble backwards). Keep in mind though, you cannot parry unblockable attacks.

Interrupts
Interrupts (when you see a white circular indicator on your opponent during specific attacks) provide similar stun length benefits to Parrying, but you don't need Golden Gloves to perform an interrupt. To hit an interrupt, try to memorize the timing of when the indicator shows up, and punch through the indicator when it appears.

Guard Breaking
Guard Breaking occurs when you mix up your punches to open up your opponent's guard. Visually, try punching where your opponent is not blocking (for example, a few head shots and then a quick body shot). Mixing up the punch types you throw (hooks, uppercuts, straights, etc.) can further confuse your opponent's ability to guard and will increase your chances of landing hits. Flailing or spamming punches does not work well; you'll see much more consistency if you punch deliberately. These hits don't do as much damage as normal hits, but still count fully towards your score. The opponents in the final circuit of the game (Iron Maiden, Showtime, and Magician) all have perfect guards though, so Guard Break is not applicable to them.

Punch Variety, Momentum, and Golden Gloves
The benefit of mixing up your punches and punch locations also extends to the fight as a whole. If you punch with variety during stuns, you'll build up Momentum more quickly (when your gloves start to glow, that's a visible representation that your Momentum is building). Once you hit a certain amount of Momentum, your Golden Gloves are fully unleashed (you'll notice that the screens in the back say "In the Zone"). Therefore, punch variety is important if you want to quickly achieve Golden Gloves. In addition to the parry benefits explained above, Golden Gloves increase your damage and your ability to Guard Break.

Punch Power
Punching with power also increases damage and enhances your ability to Guard Break. There is a different sound and hit effect once you’ve reached the threshold for a hard punch compared to a weak punch.

Scoring
For score, the higher your Momentum, the more quickly your Momentum Multiplier increases (the number above your health bar). Getting hit takes away a flat amount of your Momentum Multiplier and also resets your Momentum level (this is why trying to do more advanced things like Parrying or Interrupting can be risky if you don't have your timing down). Weak blocking (when you block for too long and see a pink shell on your gloves) reduces, but does not reset, your Momentum. You can actually build up your Momentum even more after achieving Golden Gloves, so keep punching with variety even after you get them. Every punch you land during a fight gives you points, and hard hits give you more points than weak hits. This point total is the number you see in the score screen that then gets multiplied by your bonus multipliers. Since Guard Breaking grants full punch score but does not deal full damage, it's a great tool for boosting the amount of base points you can get on the opponent from landing hits.

We hope this information helps. Thanks again for all the support!

I really like your improvements in the game. You are listening to the players. How about renaming the levels to beginners, novices, amature, and professional level where the professional level is really fast in the focus mitts and the reflex alley. as soon as yuou see the mitt up it's gone. I havae to really be fast to hit. also, some blocking and parrying in the focus mitts training area.Again, keep up the great work making your game the best boxing training game in vr out there.
