Game Keeps Crashing at Medicinal Fried Fiasco
i am very frustrated lads. whenever i try to go to the alley to try to complete this mission, there's a loading screen (obviously) and crashes every single time at said loading screen. the loading screen freezes and just crashes with no hesitation.

i have tried to get past this several times by setting my game to the lowest resolution and lowest graphics, closing apps in task manager (with the exception of uPlay, Steam and the game itself, just closing stuff like Spotify, Chrome and Discord), and i even tried to go through the alley again with a different save in one of the attempts and it still won't budge.

i have no idea why this conflict occurred all of a sudden but this bug won't let me progress through the mission and i'm afraid i might have to reset all my progress and start all over, which will bum me out since i put a lot of time into the game already.

help would be very appreciated, thank you so much!

From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button.
Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

After that is done start southpark and play in window fullscreen if it keeps crashing use it as windowed it wil not crash anymore.

Hi Kris! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with The Fractured But Whole crashing when entering the alley.

A player workaround I found is:

Enter D-Mobile, save the game, and quit. When you open the game again, press Alt+Enter twice before going into the alley and press Alt+Tab to switch to the desktop. Use the lowest resolution possible.

Sorry I know it isn't ideal, but please give this a try.

If this doesn't work, could you please take a look at this guide and run through any steps you are yet to try? This support article contains some of the most common fixes for the crashes you are experiencing in a particular point of the game:

Let me know if this helps, thank you!
