"Unable to locate uplay" Every time I try to launch game even though I have Ubisoft Connect open

Title self explanatory, "Unable to locate Uplay.Please make sure Uplay is installed". Tried reinstalling, repairing the library, and clearing the cache: still doesn't work. I have both steam and Uplay running at the same time but the error still shows up and it seems like my accounts can't link up.

If there's no way to fix this, I would like an activation key at least. I streamed Stick of Truth to friend and was looking to this as well :(
