None of our games have received updates to officially support the Steam Deck and as Ubisoft Connect is required, I don't know if it's possible. I'll move this to the general discussion section of the forum where it may see more visibility from other players who may have tried this.

If you're planning on playing the game through on Deck anyway, I would also recommend setting your in-game resolution to 1280x720, and not 1280x800, even though it is listed. The game does not support 16:10, and the letterboxing is an ugly grey colour instead of black if you set it to 800p. And if you're like me and found the jump to 60 fps over the first game a little weird, a 30 or 40-fps limit to emulate the show's animation a little better is perfect.
The game is currently classed as playable on the store page - This means there might be some minor inconveniences, such as small text, languages, smaller displays/resolutions, issues with controls etc which may require tweaking, to make the game work how it does on desktop PC

Fractured But Whole launches from Steam when I click "play", it installs Uplay, Uplay updates, logs into Uplay, I was left at the Uplay front page, I clicked "games", Fractured But Whole wasn't on my Uplay account, exited Uplay, relaunched Fractured But Whole from steam, Uplay launched, prompts to link game to my Uplay account.
Fractured But Whole finally launches
Plays intro / dev / publisher movies, loads to main menu, it lets me know about DLC i won, i can adjust the resolution between 1280 x 720 and 1280 x 800, I can start a new game, watch the entire intro video with Cartman, create my character, watch another video, and then the game seems to freeze with my character on the toilet before I can interact, background audio seems to be playing.
It suddenly started running again and proceeded about 4-5 seconds from the point it was originally stuck on while I was typing this, character still on toilet, I could briefly interact, I could see it switch UI icons between gamepad and keyboard.
Game frozen again.
Put steam deck to sleep to possibly try again, wouldn't wake back up. Had to hold power button to get it back on.
Will let everything update and maybe try again later.
Will have to try later after disabling Wifi. Not a huge fan of always online requirements. Store page just says it has Duenvo. Not sure if that implies always-online or not.
Just a note: there are grey bars at the top and bottom of the screen when in 1280 x 800 so from when after getting into the game and after walking around the bathroom without issue for a few seconds, I tried to change the resolution to 1280 x 720, it locked up again.
So while I would advise being cautious about all of that, so far, yes it seems to work.
Used the SteamDeck UI to close the game. re-relaunched the game, no small grey bars at the top / bottom of the screen, re-re-watched the intro cinematic, re-re-created my character, left the bathroom, watched a short cinematic, saved the game, put the deck to sleep, woke it up and the game didn't crash, so yeah I now seem to be playing the game. YAY!
This is really a ♥♥♥♥ move from Ubisoft, especially since I know I've been able to play games of theirs without logging in on consoles (literally did it with this game, which is a favourite of mine and I have played it on two different consoles). Why the hell make this a prerequisite on Steam?
Refunded.
Hey Space Sphere - sorry to hear about your issues with the game. Have you tried following the steps that wallace321 mentioned above? Sorry to hear that you've refunded the game since. Let us know if you ever want to replay it, we will take a look at any issues you might be facing!

Nearly finished the game, completely on the deck, really enjoyed it, and it did not require any "tinkering". Not a perfect experience, but what ever is on the PC? Yeah it took a couple of restarts to get everything going / logged in or whatever, but it ran flawlessly after that first initial experience.
SO having said that, yes, I did try disabling the system's wifi and launching the game and it was not quite so pleasant. The Ubisoft launcher came up identifying that there was no internet connection, I picked the option to continue in "offline mode", and then I was stuck in the UBISoft Connect launcher with the message:
"Ubisoft Connect is in Offline mode. Some games and services are only available in online mode. Please enter online mode to access all Ubisoft Connect features"
And the game was visible as being a choice to play, but was unable to launch.
I could launch the game, suspend the system, and then go somewhere I had no wi-fi and it would continue playing, but it does apparently need wifi to start. Which would be very unfortunate on a long haul flight.
But that's not a problem with the Deck. That's a problem with crappy anti-consumer DRM nonsense.
Although we don't officially support the Steam Deck, I'm confident our teams are tracking the feedback we've received, so it's always great to see players running our games on it and sharing their findings
