shub-niggurath fight broke?

i originally had made it through the whole cutscene totally fine and ended up dying to the boss the first time. so i load my checkpoint, go back in, the cutscene plays again, and nothing happens. my party is just standing there, staring at the boss, dont move, nothing happens. tried reloading my save, restarting the game, verifying my files for the game, everything. nothing works. i REALLY do not want to have to start a new save. im literally 16 almost 17 hours into this game. this is really annoying especially since i JUST purchased the dlc for this and it just screws me over like this. if anyone has any potential solutions i would really appreciate it.

well it turns out i worked around it. after trying for a while what apparently worked was not having craig in my party? im happy i fixed it but honestly this whole thing was really annoying. for a game thats priced as high as it is this sort of thing honestly shouldnt be happening and i know a lot of other people are dealing with various bugs and general issues. i love this game and i love south park, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

i've already redid the fight three times already because of the glitch, still trying to find a work around for it

Hi SFAUST0! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this glitch in The Fractured But Whole. Are you experiencing the exact same thing as the OP, where a cutscene plays and then the boss fight doesn't commence, everyone's just standing there? Did you try their workaround by ensuring Craig's in your party? Here are some further workarounds I've found:

"Tweek and craig were the problem for some reason, they cant go together for this fight or it’ll freeze you"

"I was able to resolve it by enabling the Steam overlay and keeping it there for a few seconds."

"Make sure you have steam overlay enabled and then just hit F12 (screenshot) each time combat seems frozen."

"I pressed esc went to options and changed my display to windowed and it fixed it. I was able to go right back to full screen and its working fine now."
