Most of our modern titles purchased from Ubisoft or Steam, should not prompt you for a key when activated or launched today. To try to resolve this please try the following fixes which have helped other players with key issues >
Fix 1:
Please make sure you are logging into your Steam account and Ubisoft account with the correct details and that these two accounts are linked together correctly, in case you have more than on Steam and more than one Ubisoft account.

-Back up the folder named 'Ownership' onto your desktop
-Then delete the 'cache' folder
-Next, use the 'Verify' tool, to repair your game files, in the game's launcher
-When this has been completed, try launching the game again.
