1.) Open Task manager and go to Performance tab
2.) open the game
3.) make the game windowed mode by pressing Alt+Enter
4.) When you see the game developer's screens and the epilepsy warning and crap, keep on switching from Fullscreen to Windowed by pressing alt+enter several times
5.) You'll notice the game's memory (task manager->performance tab) should rise, mine was eating 1.6 gigs of ram.
6.) pressing Enter should be fine now and should load the menu perfectly.
I noticed this because when I didn't do the alt enter thing, my game's memory was stuck in 1.3 gigs and the menu was black all the way. I guess you have to manually load the entire game by doing this. Still waiting for update though.
- First I ran the game as an administrator through steam.
- When the game launched, I opened window mode by pressing alt+enter
- I opened the task manager and went into the Details tab.
- I set the game priority to high, and monitored the memory usage as the game was launching. the processor field had a value of 70-80.
- As the game reached the screen where it tells you to press enter, I kept watching the processor field until it went down to 10-15 before pressing enter.
The game probably just needs some time to load. Hope this works!
