Ubisoft connect can suck my ♥♥♥♥
Purchased the game, played last night, enjoyed it.
Tried to play today after a 15 hour work day, ubisoft cant connect.
Internets fine, pc is fine, connections fine, ubisoft just simply cant connect.
so my game is now essentially blocked, because ubisoft requires a constant online connection and their servers are down.
♥♥♥♥ their drm and ♥♥♥♥ ubisoft, I will never support them again.

You bet. Morgan Freeman already had me raging at the game and then this. I think this game isn't always online, though. I checked "start in offline mode" and was able to play. It failed to sync saves and achievements, but Steam does that already, so Connect can go... connect itself.

(I do agree that Ubisoft (and others) pushing their own client only annoys people)

Edit: Apparently Steam Cloud saves are not actually enabled for this game. Gah.

And people ask me why I refuse to use forced secondary launchers
buy games on GOG only. there's no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason why ubisoft having server problems should prevent me from playing my game:broflex::murica:
may 16th and still having a problem, tried to play just now
same here can't connect because of uplay, once more

Hello there guys,

I'm sorry to see you've been encountering connection issues with Ubisoft Connect and for the delay in responding to your post.

We don't have any known degradation at the moment, so if you're still having any issues connecting, please give the steps in this guide a try[ubi.li] which should get you back up and running.

As Applied Mediocrity has also correctly noted, you are also able to run Ubisoft Connect in Offline Mode, which will allow you to run the game, however Online functions such as saves and achievements won't be available.

The problem is, is once you cant connect, you cant play offline, it puts you in an infinite loop of ' log in ', ' cant connect ', ' log in ', ect

You guys need to remove this uplay bs, it's going to cripple your company.

Having just tried it myself to make sure, with my system disconnected from the internet, I start up Ubisoft Connect, and when told it cannot connect, I am given the option to either 'try again,' or 'go offline.' Choosing the latter, the login completes and I'm brought into the main Ubisoft Connect UI, able to access my games as normal.

We have a support article[www.ubisoft.com] describing this process.

Let me know if that process doesn't work for you, as we'd like to investigate further in that case.

Hi Ubi-Thrupney,

That is not the case for me. When the ubi-soft servers are down it goes for an infinite loop of ' Log in offline, Login, Cannot connect to server please try logging in '.

The day I reacted to this thread, while I was having trouble connecting, there was no way to connect offline. There was no way to connect online neither even after 2 password reset, just to be sure. Offline would not work, online would not work, in the end I just changed to a game that I could actually play.

Thank you for the further clarification Celtic-Soul!

To clarify, to use Offline facilities, you do need to have signed into the Ubisoft Connect client previously so your account is available.

Should you have issues with any 'service unavailable' message, please follow the steps in this article[www.ubisoft.com] to install the latest version of the Ubisoft Connect client to your existing folder which should address this.
